More with the Fuji 50-140mm Lens

This is a really good lens. Not my favorite focal range though. With a long focal length I have to either want to take photos of people's nostrils or see an image happening a half block away. On the crowded streets of midtown New York wide angle lenses work best.

Slush

If the temps aren't too cold, I enjoy photographing on the streets after a snowstorm. The piles of snow at the curb, big puddles at the crosswalks, salt on the streets and sidewalks all make for interesting textures and sometimes awkward moments for people.

Tomorrow (Saturday) looks to be really frigid with wind chills below zero, so I'll be stuck inside. But looks like another storm is coming early next week. Yay!

Storm? What Storm?

Kinda disappointing as far as blizzards go. But better to be too prepared than not prepared enough. I hope to get out in the next day or two and get pics of the mess all the slush and puddles make in midtown. That's fun!

Before The Storm

In preparation for being stuck inside for a few days due to winter storm Juno, yesterday I took a long walk through Chinatown -  through Columbus Park -  and up through Greenwich Village. The temps were mild and the sun was shining.
