Homage to Alicia

I created this image at the request of a good friend in Madrid whose daughter wanted a shot of the iconic Brooklyn Bridge that she could hang on her wall. It's tough to create a unique image of a structure that has been photographed as much as the bridge, or the Eiffel Tower, or the Empire State building. Here it is, for what it's worth.

  1. Hi Gene, has excited much see the picture you did for Alicia, hopefully we can have it Wednesday morning hanging on the wall, you know it comes from far away, hahaha ... we can hang on this post the image of the room with the photo of the bridge?
I feel good that extend your business, communicate with colleagues in Spain so they can see your blog.
I really have surprised us, and of course we liked the detail you've had

  4. It is tough to be unique with this bridge, but you've done it. Wow! She should be really happy with this one.

  5. This is an excellent photo of the Brooklyn Bridge. It's pictorially very successful, and is ripe with meaning besides. I love seeing photos that make a familiar subject look important again. Cheers, Phrasikleia.

  6. Yeah - it's tough - although, your pov & dof win me over. Ask me about new perspectives of the Grand Canyon - well, that would take a couple days. None-the-less, I could see this in most any gallery let alone on someone's wall. Well done! - Mike

  18. Hi Gene! Just caught your note on my wall at 500px. Happy to follow you here. I was also a bit disappointed with some of the activity on 500px and as you know stayed away for a while, but the quality of the work on there is so inspiring and since I'm learning, I've decided to stay and post and learn. Will be happy to follow you here :) ~ Beth (SE Blackwell)
