Back in June I took an afternoon to explore the Midwood section of Brooklyn, which is the home of a large Syrian Jewish community. As you can see, the people were less than friendly.
Another successful day shooting in Williamsburg. In a way, the people's reluctance to be photographed makes for some interesting expressions and eye contact. This first group is of just the men. Women and children in the next post.
I always enjoy taking photo walks in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. At this time of year the neighborhood empties out a bit. People go to the bungalow colonies in the Catskills, and kids go to summer camps. But there's always interesting people to see.
